Guided Tours Of The Jeffrey D. Schwartz Museum Of Jewish Art & Judaica

Welcome to the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Museum of Art and Judaica, a unique collection of more than 300 rare Jewish art pieces. A unique collection of Jewish artifacts and art collected from around the world. The museum is affiliated with the Jewish-Taiwan Cultural Association (JTCA), with the goal of preserving Jewish heritage and promoting cultural awareness. The museum currently has hundreds of pieces in its collection, with new ones being added to the collection. Works are displayed throughout the Center and can be found on the way to the synagogue, in the Kosher Culinary Lab, and in the library. Let’s work together to help make this beautiful legacy of Jewish culture last for generations to come.

The Jewish Community Center operates by reservation, so please make an appointment in advance to visiting the center.

The daily tour times of the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Museum of Art and Judaica are 11:00am, 14:20pm, and 17:00pm. We cannot give refunds or partial refunds for late cancellations or late arrivals on the day of reservation.

Tour fee for the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Museum Of Jewish Art & Judaica is NT$200 per person.

Language

Please let us know when booking your tour if you prefer Mandarin or English. Due to limited tour guide availability, we may not always be able to offer both languages during all time slots.

Group tours

We welcome group tours. However, to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone, a single tour group cannot exceed 10 people per tour. For groups larger than 10 people, please notify us so we can arrange separate tours on the same day or on a different day. Accessibility

Please note that the objects in the museum are displayed throughout the entire JCC. A large part of the museum is located in the stairwells of the center. If you are unable to climb stairs, we provide an elevator. Please notify us in advance if you have accessibility requirements to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Tour availability is currently limited. Please make your reservation at least 2 days. Please be mindful that every Friday and Saturday we observe the Shabbath, a traditional day of rest and renewal, so we will not be able to take reservations. If you want to book a tour on Sunday please reach out by Thursday at the latest.

Notes for visiting the Jewish Community Center

1. The Jewish Community Center operates by reservation, so please make an appointment in advance to visiting the center.
2. We offer tours in Chinese or English. If you like to have an English tour please add a note or contact us during our business hours so we can check for availability.
3. In order to ensure that all guests can make reservations, please pay the tour fee of NT$200 per person in advance when you make your reservation. If the payment is not made within the deadline, we will not be able to reserve a place for you, so please make a new reservation.
4. To cancel a reservation, please do so online in the reservation system at least 2 business days before the visit date, and get in touch with us for refund procedures. Refunds cannot be processed for cancellations beyond the specified deadline. Thank you for your cooperation.
5. The daily tour times of the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Museum of Art and Judaica are 10:40am, 14:20pm, and 16:30pm. We cannot give refunds or partial refunds for late cancellations or late arrivals on the day of reservation.
6. Serving authentic kosher food takes a lot of hard work and meticulous observance of the intricate rules and traditions governing kosher food preparation. Therefore, with the exception of bottle water, please do not bring any food or drink into the center.
7. Given it’s status as a holy sanctuary please be mindful of wearing appropriate attire. We recommend long pants or long skirts that cover the knee. Please do not wear sandals, flip-flops or other shoes that do not fully cover your feet.
8. We have elevator and accessible toilets for visitors with physical disabilities, but the museum tour still requires walking from the first floor to the fourth floor. For your health and safety, please evaluate your physical condition before making a reservation.
9. We’re closed on Friday and Saturday in observance of Shabbat, the weekly day of rest.
