《A SEAT AT THE TABLE》 New Book Published

The Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Centre Taipei had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Mitchell A. Silk, attorney and author. During his talk, he shared insights from his book “A SEAT at the TABLE,” reflecting on his unique experience as the first Orthodox Jewish official to serve in the U.S. Department of the

Treasury. More than just a story about his career, his message was about faith, honesty, and leadership — values that continue to guide Jewish life and inspire people to stay true to what they believe in, even in public service.

The event was made possible through the co-sponsorship of the Jewish Taiwan Cultural Association and the support of the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance, the College of Global Banking and Finance at National Chengchi University, and the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association. Together with our partners, we aim to encourage learning, dialogue, and friendship between communities and cultures.

After the talk, guests enjoyed kosher refreshments and warm conversations in the JCC ballroom. The friendly atmosphere reflected what our JCC stands for — a place where people can meet, learn, and share ideas. The ballroom, where this special evening took place, and is also open for lectures, receptions, and cultural events.
