Preparing for Passover: Fire, Water, and the Heart of Jewish Tradition

🔥 Did you know? Our kitchen is literally “using fire” to get ready for the holiday!

Not a joke — we’re really flame-cleaning for Passover! 🔥

One of the most important holidays of the year — Passover — is just around the corner.

At our community center, the pre-holiday deep clean is in full swing.

Our chefs are meticulously cleaning every corner, from wiping down surfaces to purifying cookware over flames.

Every action is a gesture of respect and dedication to Jewish tradition.

🔥 Cookware is purified by fire, leaving no trace behind — a symbol of distancing from impurity and returning to spiritual clarity.

💦 Every utensil is immersed in boiling water to ensure it meets the strict standards of Passover cleanliness.

This is more than cleaning — it’s a deep preparation of body and soul.

By removing all traces of chametz (leavened foods), we create a space that is clean, calm, and ready to embrace the meaning and spirit of the holiday.

Beyond the kitchen, our event space is also being beautifully prepared!

From tablecloths and wine glasses to every seat at the table,

we’re thoughtfully arranging every detail so that each guest who joins us for the Passover Seder can feel the warmth of home and the richness of tradition. 🥂

✨ In this meaningful season,

we prepare with action and intention — welcoming the dignity and beauty of this special time of year.
