Visual and Culinary Experience, AIPAC Kosher Dinner at JCC
On October 26, distinguished guests from AIPAC enjoyed a beautifully curated kosher dinner at the Ballroom of the Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center (JCC).
The evening was thoughtfully designed by JCC founder Mr. Jeffrey D. Schwartz. In addition to the carefully crafted dishes prepared by the Kosher Culinary Lab, Mr. Schwartz displayed pieces from his personal antique collection—usually kept in the museum—directly on the dinner tables. The combination of fine cuisine and rare antiques created an unforgettable visual and culinary experience.
Before the dinner began, Rabbi Shlomi led the guests in prayer inside the synagogue, setting a warm and meaningful tone for the evening. Live musical performances added another layer of elegance, blending culture, food, art, and music into one memorable night.
The dinner featured both Western plated dishes and traditional Chinese shared courses. The highlight of the evening was the signature Beef Wellington from the Kosher Culinary Lab—joined by a special creation, the Salmon Wellington. Guests were pleasantly surprised by how delightful the salmon version was, with several guests asking for additional servings.
After dinner, Mr. Schwartz personally guided the delegation on a tour of the JCC, including the Museum’s collections. The group was especially impressed upon visiting Taiwan’s only mikveh, admiring its discreet yet beautifully luxurious design crafted by Mr. Schwartz.
It was an evening where culture, food, and heartfelt exchange came together—strengthening the connection between the Jewish community and Taiwan in the most memorable way.
