A New Name on the Tree of Life, Continuing Culture and Blessings

A New Name on the Tree of Life, Continuing Culture and Blessings

This May, we were deeply honored to receive the support and generous contribution from Mr. Henri Chen, President of Davos Capital.

This was not simply a donation, but a meaningful participation in our JCC “Tree of Life” dedication project.

In Jewish culture, the “Tree of Life” symbolizes wisdom, heritage, faith, and continuity.
It represents the connection between people and reflects how acts of kindness and blessings can continue to impact future generations. Every name engraved on the Tree of Life becomes more than a name — it becomes part of a living legacy and cultural continuity.

This spirit is also closely connected to one of the most important values in Jewish tradition — “Tzedakah.”
Tzedakah is not merely charity; it is a responsibility and a mission. Through giving and supporting others, communities, culture, and human connection are able to continue growing and thriving.

To commemorate this meaningful occasion, we also arranged a special meeting and dedication ceremony.
Mr. Henri Chen joined Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center founder Jeffrey D. Schwartz and Rabbi Shlomi for a commemorative photo and donation ceremony.

This occasion further symbolizes the growing connection and cultural exchange between Taiwan and Jewish culture.

We sincerely thank Mr. Chen for recognizing and supporting Jewish cultural exchange in Taiwan,
and for supporting JTCA’s vision of continuing cultural education, community connection, and intercultural dialogue in Taiwan.

May every act of kindness continue to bring warmth and blessings to the world.
