🤝 An Inauguration Ceremony, a New Connection, and the Beginning of Cultural Exchange

On July 2, Jeffrey D. Schwartz Jewish Community Center (JCC) was honored to host the 10th Inauguration Ceremony of the Taipei Cheng-Ai Rotary Club's President and Board of Directors, celebrating an important milestone for the Club's new President, Andrew Chou.

For many distinguished guests, this was their first visit to JCC. As they stepped into this unique space—nestled in the heart of Taipei and thoughtfully designed to reflect Jewish culture through contemporary architecture—they were delighted to discover a place where culture, art, and history come together.

In addition to the inauguration ceremony and banquet, guests were invited to tour the Jewish Art Museum, where they explored centuries of Jewish heritage through its collections, guided introductions, and thoughtfully curated exhibitions.

This memorable evening was made possible through the friendship between JCC Founder Jeffrey D. Schwartz and the newly inaugurated President, Andrew Chou. Although Mr. Schwartz was in Jerusalem, Israel, he specially recorded a congratulatory video to celebrate President Chou's first gavel ceremony, offering his heartfelt blessings for a successful new term and for the continued growth and service of the Taipei Cheng-Ai Rotary Club.

Beyond the Rotary meeting itself, the evening also featured a special keynote by renowned film director Yin-Juan Tsai, best known for the acclaimed television series Tears on Fire. Through her inspiring presentation, guests engaged in meaningful conversations about filmmaking, social issues, and life experiences, enriching the evening with knowledge and thoughtful dialogue.
